Graphene Oxide (GO) is a product of deep oxidation of graphite, has the simplest formula C2OH and contains a large number of oxygen-containing functional groups. The Graphene Oxide is a hydrophilic material and therefore is able to form colloidal solutions in water, dimethylformamide, N-methyl-pyrrolidone, aqueous solutions of ethanol and other polar solvents.
Reduced Graphene Oxide (RGO) is a product of the reduction of GO under thermal exposure (heating or microwave irradiation) or chemical reduction. The Reduced Graphene Oxide has a large specific surface and high conductive characteristics in contrast to GO. The Reduced Graphene Oxide is a black powder with a low density (~0.7 g/100 ccm) and contains more than 96 weight % of carbon.

Application of Graphene Oxide
•Materials for solar cells and semiconductor electronics
• Conducting graphene films and coatings (including transparent ones)
• Electrode materials, separators and collectors for power sources (supercapacitors and Li-ion batteries)
• Catalyst supports and sorbents
• Graphene-polymer composites
• Conductive ink including for 3D printing
and other applications
Application of Reduced Graphene Oxide
• Due to the large specific surface and high conductivity, RGO is a promising material for power sources (supercapacitors and Li-ion batteries). Specific capacity can reach 200-250 F/g in water electrolytes.
• Catalyst supports and sorbents
• Graphene-polymer composites with improved characteristics
• Conductive ink including for 3D printing
